Before i got my 360 people kept asking me, "gunn, what are you looking forward to playing online when you finally decide to quit being a troglodyte and get on Live?" I had a hard time coming up with an answer at first (war games bore me to tears so COD's out and I'll NEVER be a Halo player) but now I know. Sex, and all that goes with it (or should, depending on the person haha) has been quite a media grabber over the years. I dont think this will be that long, but I was thinking about something. So many people get mad at people for thinking they can play instruments if they play guitar hero or rockband or whatever. Or atleast consider those who play the games losers if they cant play the real thing. It got me to thinking- Is it the same with other things?

Nintendo Reborn: Blessing or Doomsday?

Nintendo, without a doubt, was the leader of games during the 1990s. Ask any Nintendo fan who was around in that era and you're bound to find a few responses with the phrase "The Golden Age of Gaming" in it. Of course, Nintendo was not without its flaws. Ever since its fallout with Sony, it has come to bite them back in the ass for many years to come.

Nintendo has made many stupid decisions over the years, such as sticking to the expensive cartridge format for games instead of going with CDs which held more space. Being a dictator over how many games 3rd parties could make did not help either and it caused 3rd parties to jump from Nintendo's ship and into the arms of Sega and Sony. Red Rings of Death

While playing Fallout 3, my X-Box 360 froze one me. Normally I think this is something wrong with the game, and I have one minor scratch on my Fallout 3 disc, but after attempting to restart my system, it froze again, this time on the first boot up screen with the spinning logo.

Now, I am wary. So I restart, and the most ominous symbol for the system, the red rings of death, pops up.

Second time for me, which is never good. I need to make sure the system is under warranty (which it should be, since it's three years.) so I can get a new one. Looks like the Playstation 2 is going to get more play than usual, as will my Wii.

Haters

Haters come in all shapes and size's, genders and sex preferences. Regardless you are faced with the need to fight them every moment of your life. I think personally, If someone feels the need to disrespect other's, its probably because they know they have to, to compete. This go's from everything from school to online video games. Remember at all times that you are you and you are who you know you are.

Jimmy Thing

I was about to watch the review for James Bond: Quantum of Solace review, until something I saw startled me.

The review was at Gametrailers.com, which sells ad space for revenue. Before any review in HD, they have an ad. Well, I shouldn't say add. It's actually a PSA (Public Service Announcement). This one in particular was about safe sex, and always making sure to use a condom.

The first person they interviewed said something about STDs, then said: "That's why you always have to wear a Jimmy". What? He called a condom a Jimmy. Now, I've heard a lot of slang. Two controllers, one console: Is it worth it anymore?

So it was my younger brother's birthday yesterday, and I wanted to get him something special. He's quite a gamer himself, and I thought a copy of Saints Row 2 would go down well. Unfortunately, I have only enough for half the game, but luckily he agrees to go half-half with it.

I bring the game home while he goes out to the zoo for the day, and boot it up. Sure enough, it works well and I spend a few hours playing it while he's out.

When he gets back, I immediately try for the co-op option, only to realise that same-console co-op is not included.

Naturally, this leaves me wondering about the state of same-console multiplayer as a whole. If new releases are coming out that make games like this ...

Confessions of a Pokemaniac

Today on Serebii.net I was browsing through they’re in-depth pokedex and I suddenly realized something, something that has not crossed my mind in years. Pokemon is pretty damn old now. Maybe not as ancient as most game franchises are, like Tetris, Pac-Man, Mario or Zelda, but it now has over ten years on their belts notched ever since the game graced the game boy back in 1997. And with the Pokemon Platinum released in Japan back in September, chances are it will grace the U.S shores sometime in April again, marking it the 14th game in the normal series of the Pokemon RPG games.

Take Down Tethyr! [Random WoW Quests]

Due to the success of my 'How To Be A WoW Zombie', I came up with this little narrative of a recent questline me and a friend completed.

Legends tell of a great sea beast that lives in Dustwallow Marsh, on the coast of Kalimdor. Many had seen this creature, with its Devil's stare, mysteriously high level and shared model with The Lurker Below, but few survived such encounters. I've had an obsession with large beasts of the deep for quite a while so armed with a ferocious attitude and an adventuring buddy I set out to try and catch a glimpse of the mighty monster.

Come to think of it, I can't really think of any time when I've been overly scared of a game. Ever. The closest I've been to being scared is Resident Evil 4, when you fight the Regenerators for the first time. I think it's because in Doom 3, you never really feel like you can't handle the situation. I mean, on my current save, I've got a wide variety of guns and ammo up the ying-yang. Honestly.

Scary Ads

WTF is with ads these days? So I'm 13, and am logging onto my Facebook to check who's on. On the side, there's the ads, and the one I always see is 'Find other cool 13 year-olds on Espin.com!' And then I go and check my myspace, and there's another ad, saying '2 new messages from Seattle, WA!' Which happens to be where I live. And then I'll go and check my e-mail, and get a bunch saying 'Hey, Ian, get a free gift card today!' And by then I'm a little creeped out. How do these ads find out like all your information? What are their motives? Like seriously, what the f**k? I'm not gonna click on an ad that knows my name, that's just weird.

This is a time for jubilation for some, doubt for others, and hopefully, the promises of change that will occur. the anticipation is killing me!

Lately, I have been trying to force myself to remain unexcited as I wait for a game to be released. It seems that the longer I wait and the more excited I get for the game, the more disappointed I am when I finally get to play it. It’s as if all that time has built up this expectation that the game can no longer meet.

new video game

I just got a new game for my ps2 it is called MERCENARIES 2 WORLD IN FLAMES IT IS A FUN GAME

D and D: Halo style

Me and my friends have started to play d and d. But we have found that at times it gets old, boring, stale, or even pointless. But we have started working on a way to make it like halo. We think it will be fun. If it is I will start to post rules, guidelines, and how to set everything up.

Well, it's back. My 360 has returned from the bowels of Microsoft Tech Support (the Sydney branch, apparently) and is now once more plugged into my TV.

Pity I can't find the bloody batteries for the controller anymore. We redistributed them when the 360 was sent in. No sense to waste good rechargables.

However, I did purchase a Charge Pack for one of the controllers, which came with a charger cable, so I can still play the thing. The pack itself is rather low, but with the cable that's not much of an issue.

The first thing I played when I got it back? Gears of War.

Eight! I did eight reviews for games in a month! Damn I must either be good at this, bad at this, or I really have a lot more time on my hands than I think I do.
